It’s Been a New York Minute

What is a New York Minute? I don’t know…. is it fast? Is it slow? I guess a New York minute is a fast period of time. Although, it has been a long period of time since I have wrote a blog – it feels like time has sped by. Someday, I want to visit New York City and see the Statue of Liberty in person. Can you imagine a 4th of July Celebration at the Statue of Liberty. I like to think she stands there in the harbor and watches all of the New York Minutes speed by.

I cannot believe July 4th is only a day away? What? How? This year has felt like it has been moving fast. The baby grandson is already eighteen months. Seems like he was just born yesterday. I also like to think that God is watching me from heaven and sees me speeding by in all my activities. The 4th of a July is a good time to slow down for a day, and put your hand over your heart, look at Old Glory waving in the breeze and breathe a prayer of thanks to the God in heaven and the price that was paid for liberty.

So – to update – I said a final goodbye to having Scrap4Less in the Colorado Springs Flea Market and I am now fully ensconced in American Classic Marketplace. Look for me in booth #WH5 – go thought the front- turn left – go all the way down to the end of that hallway – till you can go no further- and then turn right. I am the 5th booth down on the left. I love it so much better there.

Just got over a virus – the HmPV – human metapneumovirus – basically a cold virus but it hit me hard – hard enough that they put me on oxygen. I am feeling so much better now… took almost a month to recover. I thought it interesting when I went to the ER that they gave me a blood test to check for 27 flu and cold viruses. Covid was included in that test… Who knew there were at least 27 ways to catch the cold or flu. The HmPv was on the list. Dont let them just tell you that you have a cold… ask to be tested.

I am currently reading A Discovery of Witches. The Goodreads 52 Books a Year has a prompt in the challenge to read a book with an author with the same name as yours. A Discovery of Witches was written by Deborah Harkness. I am also reading on Apple Books – 4th Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It won’t get shipped, by Amazon, until July 11 – July 17. So far this book has to be my new favorite book.

Not much else that’s new. I think my last little dog – Jubilee – my little Malti-Poo – who has more Poo in her than Malti is about to cross the Rainbow Bridge. All she does is sleep. She is blind and deaf. She still eats and pees and poos – but most time it is in the house cause she just doesn’t want to move. She is 16 years old. She will be my last little dog. I will still have the two Great Danes – Hope and Cosmo – whom are doing well.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July. I love the 4th of July. Except for all the pop-pops going off and freaking the Danes out. They don’t like the pop-pops. Hopefully, we might take a day trip tomorrow… we shall see.

Happy 4th of July. Remember the past and what made us Americans.

And Always be Positive,

Positively, Debbie
