I Love November

Not just because it’s my birthday month – there are other reasons. Did I say it was the month I was born in? It’s the month between October and December. You can start singing the Christmas carols and put up the Christmas decorations and no one scratches their head in confusion or rushes you to the loony bin. It’s a peaceful month between Spooky Halloween and the chaoticness of December. It’s the time of year to reflect on the goodness of God and what you are thankful for. It’s also my birthday month… Did I already say that? I just love November.

Novemblog… Novemvlog? I want to do Martins Mayhem 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month. I think I will blog the card I make everyday and do one or two videos a week of what I make and post it on You Tube. I am also going to try to make a bunch of 3 x 3 Thank you note cards to hand out to cashiers, servers, doctors, my nutritionist advisers, etc. just to thank them for a job well done.

I signed up for Metabolic Research Center (MRC) last Wednesday and in the first couple days, I lost 1.4 pounds. I hope I have success in this. My number 1 goal is to reverse Type 2 diabetes. Losing weight is a bonus. Feeling healthier and having more energy would be wonderful. I’ll be sharing my journey as I progress along. I finished Conditioning Week, now I need to start the actual plan. I don’t think it will be too hard if I can plan and prepare. I actually the HNC’s from MRC… high protein drinks.

Here’s my meal plan for dinners –

Friday – I accidentally bought Italian seasoned ground chicken. So I’m thinking of making a lasagna with it… or maybe spaghetti…

Saturday – hamburgers… but mine will be without a bun… and a salad on the side.

Sunday – baked chicken with Brussel sprouts, carrots and potatoes.

Breakfast – I usually have avocado toast on low calorie bread, with 2 slices of tomato, sprinkled with chunky sea salt and pepper. Or I could have a smoothie or two scrambled eggs and vegan bacon.

Lunch – I have chicken salad with crackers, a lettuce wrapped sandwich, leftovers, or the Cobb Salad from Chick-Fil-A

Thats the plan….

I just finished reading The Pumpkin Spice Cafe book – by Laurie Gilmore. That was a spicy book. When they said it was in the style of Gilmore Girls, I didn’t think it would be very spicy. But it’s kinda like Christian Gray meets Lorelei Gilmore…dude!!! I want a sexy farmer! I need the next book in the series… The Cinnamon Bun BookShop.

My next book is The Banned Books Club by Brenda Novak….

Here is my 1st card for #30DaysChristmasCardMakingChallenge by Martin’s Mayhem – Papercrafter, The theme for today is O Christmas Tree

I used Painted Trees 3d embossing folder by Stampin Up (current but low inventory) and Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set (retired Stampin Up) for the sentiment… I like how it turned out…

That’s all for today. Im off to Trader Joe’s…

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!!

Positively, Debbie
