Think I Can Do This? 28 Days – No Junk Living

No junk. No junk food. No junk mail, no junk cluttering up my house, no junk thinking. What does that leave me with? A healthy body, a happy mind, and lots of time and space… A cleaner, simpler, way of life… Ahhhh!

What is the definition of junk? From Merriam Webster Dictionary Online –

Definition of junk

(1): old iron, glass, paper, or other waste that may be used again in some form (2): secondhand, worn, or discarded articles (3):something of poor quality (4) something of little meaning, worth, or significance

For the next- 28 Days No Junk Living, I am going to go back to eating clean, no junk food – especially sugar and highly processed food. I am going to start a major decluttering of my garage, so I can get my inventory for my booths organized – and I am going to go back to thinking Positively.

These past few months have been hard with the shut down and the virus and the political unrest – my brain has become clouded and I threw caution to the wind when it came to health and fitness and getting things done. I emotionally ate quarantine carbs. : ( My neck has been hurting something fierce, but I honestly think its from all the stress that I have been carrying around inside me.

No more – before I wind up gaining ALL my weight back. I have got to start eating better, working out and moving my body.

Would you like to join me on this 28 Day – No Junk Journey? Please do… I could use the accountability.

Day One – Set your intentions. Choose what “junk” you want to purge from your life for the next 28 days. Hopefully, after the 28 days, it will be a habit and you won’t want to go back to it.

For me – the junk I want to remove is the:

  1. Junk food that has been making me feel inflamed and tired all the time.
  2. The clutter in the garage that needs to go to the thrift store or the dump or the garbage can.
  3. The junk thinking that has left me feeling less than motivated to do anything – not depressed – maybe, repressed?

What is one action step – an I Will statement – that I can take today to start removing the junk from my life?

Today, I will not eat any junk food and cook dinner at home…probably chicken, broccoli and rice casserole. I am also going to look up diabetic nutrition plans…

Positive Affirmation for Today – (Affirmations are quotes from the book The Travelers Gift: Seven Decisions That Determine Personal Success – by Andy Andrews… which I suggest is a good book to read during the next 28 Days.)

” The buck stops here. I accept responsibility for my past. I am responsible for my success.”

Thanks for reading. Leave me a comment and let me know if you decide to participate.

Positively, Debbie
