Well That Was Unexpected.

Just a short and sweet blog post today. It’s all I feel like doing. Yesterday evening, I took Cystex and a Pyrridium since I felt like maybe I was coming down with a UTI. It helped take the pain away in my lower right back. Then at 4 am, I woke up with a little nagging headache and I took 2 Tylenols. Then when I got of bed around 7 am, I felt a little lightheaded. I made my own iced vanilla coffee with oat milk and some avocado toast on Keto bread, for breakfast. Then I started feeling really lightheaded and fatigued. I really wanted to go curl up in bed and go back to sleep.

Alas…I had a doctors appointment to go to. David took the morning off to take me to my appointment and to watch over the grandson. This was supposed to be a well woman’s appointment…but I told the nurse what was going on, and that I just didn‘t feel like getting a physical done because of the headache, lightheadedness and fatigue.

Well, apparently, they were concerned about the headache, lightheadedness and fatigue too since my blood pressure was really high. They checked my blood pressure 3 times, sitting, standing and laying down. When I stood up my blood pressure would come down but my heart rate would increase. So… since they were just a clinic they told me David needed to get me up to the ER.

We dropped the grandson off with his mama, at her place of work and drove to the ER. I got more blood work done, a CT scan and an EKG. No heart attack, no stroke going on. Glucose levels were still really high. They can’t find any reason for my headache and why my blood pressure is so high. Then again they weren‘t there to diagnose – they just needed to help my blood pressure come down and take care of the headache.

They gave me a migraine cocktail of Benadryl and some other kind of med. Knocked me out for a little while – then they sent me home and I have been sleeping all day.

I have to follow-up with my regular provider. I wish I knew what was causing these stupid headaches.

Not what I expected to happen today… I’m glad they didn’t find anything more serious.

We ate breakfast for dinner – scrambled eggs and bacon. I’m going back to bed now. I’m not even going to watch an episode of the Classic Dallas, which is what I am currently binge watching. I’m on Season 6. I was just a teenager when it first started airing and I never really understood just how much of an a$& JR really was.

Trying to remain positive while they figure out why I keep getting headaches.

So very, very true

Thanks for reading

Positively, Debbie
