Day Two and already I’m beginning to have doubts about this #Write31Days. I really should have wrote an outline before beginning this. I’ve been pondering all day – the WHY – for joining and writing this blog challenge. I think I have figured it out….
Yesterday… I wrote about the beginnings of my fitness journey and some of the obstacles I have had to face. I realized I love to live the healthy way of life…but don’t get me wrong….my journey is nowhere near over. I still have 60 pounds to lose. This past year I struggled with depression and gained about 30 pounds back. Nutrition is my biggest downfall. I love food!!! I also eat my emotions. Then I injured my ankle… and I could not do my cardio anymore. Cardio kept me lean. I could burn enough calories wo..hen I was running 1 – 3 miles, four or five times a week. Since my ankle surgery on September 1st, my nutrition has pretty much been null and void. I have been working out as much as possible doing abs and upper body exercises…but it’s not the same as running.
Sp…without this blog post sounding like a pity party… I think the purpose (the WHY) for this next 30 days is to write an accountability blog.
So… I purpose everyday to share with you:
- one good thing I have done for my nutrition.
- my workout for the day or how I have moved
- one craft project that I have worked on or currently working on because being creative helps keep me sane…and from eating my emotions
One healthy living tip that I can give is: no one person’s weight loss or fitness journey will ever be the same. What I am doing might not work for you… but one thing I can vouch for is during the next 30 days…if you would like to join me in holding each other accountable – leave me a comment below that says – count me in.
Today… I started my detox plan. I started out by making my green juice today which included apples, cucumbers, celery, spinach, kale, vegan protein powder, lemon juice and ginger…
My diet will consist of: no sugar, no breads/pasta, no soy, and no dairy or eggs.
My goal is to lose 20 pounds by December.
Crafting my way to healthy: Here are three scrapbook layouts I have previously done to help me remember the races I have run.
My first ever 5k…Took me 56 minutes and 1 second. January 1st, 2013. It was 20 degrees that day. I literally had icicles on my hair.
My second 5k was for Life Network. I couldn’t remember my time but I had a lot of fun.
My third race was a half marathon relay. I ran the first leg – which was about 8k in 1 hour and 34 minutes.
Thanks for reading

Positively, Debbie.
Hi Debbie,
I also decided to do the write31days writing challenge super last minute. In fact I decided on October 1. That is great that you have figured out the WHY for your series, that should help you come up with posts a little easier. I’m also a smoothie fan I discovered a terrible combination: blueberries, almond milk, water, chocolate extract and chocolate hazelnut butter. It was a pretty purple but it was vial. Oh well. I drank it anyways. I kept telling myself that it was good for me. I’ll be back tomorrow!

I’m hoping so – towards the evening I’m questioning myself. What now? What’s your favorite smoothie?
