Countdown to Christmas – 37 Days til Christmas – I’ll Have a Blog Christmas

I lost 2.2 pounds last week and I was so excited. I also realized how much I miss blogging. Blogging is my accountablity. I haven’t done it in awhile, due to sickness and having problems with my left eye. It is hard to look for long at a computer screen. My opthamalogist is following me closely to make sure my retina is not tearing or detaching. Needless to say, I have been trying my best to step up my nutrition to help my eye heal. The opthamalogist said, that eye floaters and flashing lights, caused by holes in the vitreous gel, can heal itself, it just takes a long time.

Great…(sarcasm).

Well, hopefully nutrition will help. I’m on a plan to increase Omega 3’s, eat more leafy green veggies and more carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, foods with vitamin C, and more protein. NO spiking my blood sugars and avoiding my food sensitivities to gluten and dairy. Mondays are Meatless Monday. I am going to have a baked sweet potato with broccoli tonight. Or maybe cauliflower pasta with butternut squash and broccoli. That sounds good too…

My new water bottle I bought at a craft fair this weekend… got to stay hydrated.

Is nutrition helping? Somedays are better than others. Today, is not a good day…but my sinuses are really bugging me, which doesn’t help the floaters in my eye.

BUT…. it is 37 days til Christmas!!!!

And I am not going to let eye floaters, heavy traffic, crowded stores or anything else get in the way of having a good Christmas… Christmas is not a time to let oneself to get stressed out. Christmas is a time of peace, comfort and joy…

Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling.

Beginning with my birthday, which is the day before Thanksgiving this year and then Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving! Not just for the food! It is a time to relax and give thanks to God for making it through another year.

I have an eye appointment today… so depending on what the eye doctor says, I don’t know if I will be staying home or going to AZ for Thanksgiving. I really don’t want to drive by myself…so going to AZ depends on if someone goes with me. IF I stay home… I will probably have a crafting, slumber party with my friends for my birthday. Eat dinner with my kids and their friends at my house. (My daughter said she would cook this year.)

Whatever way the story goes this Thanksgiving and Christmas…. May the peace, comfort and joy of Christmas surround you this season and all through the rest of the year.

Thanks for watching

In the Christmas Spirit,

Positively, Debbie
