The first day of July 2021. Can you believe that July is already here? This year is flying by like a speeding bullet. There are only 176 more days til Christmas. That’s less than half a year. No wonder Hobby Lobby, Michaels and JoAnns starts putting up their Christmas inventory; Christmas will be here before you know it.
Thoughts of Christmas are still in the not too far off future though. Right now, thoughts are turning to what is happening in July. In our family, there are a lot of birthdays this month; My daughter, my sister, lots of friends and some friends who are like family. Off the top of my head, I can think of at least 8 birthdays in July. One of them was my Dad’s birthday. I still like to remember my Dad on his birthday. Usually, by doing a scrapbook layout of him and documenting some of the memories I have of him. Documenting those memories makes me feel close to him again.

Also, just around the corner from today, our thoughts turn toward July 4th. Independence Day. A day when our thoughts should turn toward remembering the Freedoms that America has. Freedoms which are slowly being eroded by a government, which has totally taken God out of the equation. Whether, they in the government, like it or not, this country was founded on the Biblical and moral principles of God fearing men.
What else is happening in July?
- I have another eye doctor appt on July 29th to get new glasses. Finally! I had my cataract removal surgery in my left eye, one week ago from yesterday. My vision is a lot clearer, if things are close to my face. From a distance, everything is still blurry , it’s just a clear blurry. No more gray, hazy vision in my left eye. I’m hoping that once I get new glasses, everything will be good again. Right now, everything has to be large print or up close for me to see it.
- I am going to do my best to try and blog or post a video or maybe both, every day, between now and Christmas. Life happens though, so we will see how many days, I can get posted.
- I need to clean and reorganize my Raskog carts. I have four. One of them needs to be put together.
- I need to get the house reorganized and figure out what to do with the Scrap4Less/KDWhimsy booth inventory. I have a pregnant daughter that may be moving back in.
