Keeping It Retail

Blogust Day 8

Retail therapy is cheaper than real therapy!

I heard a quote today that I am adopting into my favorite mantra’s. Wait til my husband hears that this is why I love to shop!

What do I shop for? I shop for my collections, and items to resell in my flea market booth, located in the Pavilion Building at the Colorado Springs Flea Market. Open Saturday and Sunday from 9 – 3, and by appointment only Wednesday – Friday from 10 -2.

I collect books. I joined a Book Club Challenge this year through Good Reads, where you read 52 books in one year based on the 52 + prompts they give you. I think I have read 21 books so far this year. Thats the most I have ever read.

Currently, I am reading Green Rider by Kristen Britain and Crazy Faith by Michael Todd. I try to read a non-fiction and a fiction book simultaneously.

I’ll be finished with this soon… It’s so good

I also collect blankets, pillows, journals, designer paper, and home decor. I love buffalo plaid, llamas, all things Rae Dunn, vintage and antique.

For my resell booth, which is a crafty boutique, I sell vintage, antique, and whimsical gift items and furniture and crafty items related to papercrafting, scrapbooking and card-making – stamps, dies, stencils, inks, ephemera, embellishments, etc.

It keeps me busy

No truer statement than the one above to tell to my husband

Keeping it retail…
