Bible Joynaling and Pink Hair

Yep! Today I did it! I got pink highlights. I feel like I am ready for Spring with pink in my hair. I never thought I would do something, like get pink highlights, but today I wanted to be a little daring. I read in a devotional today that despair meant the absence of positive expectations and I realized that I don’t want to feel like I’m in the depths of despair. No matter how much life may throw at me there is always something – even its a tiny something – that I can be positive about. So here’s to pink highlights. Positive, happy, pink highlights.

And look I’m smiling. Everything is going to be alright.

Postively

Bible Joynaling. At the beginning of the year I joined a Facebook page called Hide His Word in My Heart. Every Friday – MayMay Helms – who started the page does a YouTube video on a passage of Scripture and teaches us how to “Heart” the Word. Hear the Word. Experience the Word. Art the Word. I do have to say this is one of the best challenges I have taken on this year.

I also use a list of Scripture passages from a Facebook page called The Artist and the Architect. They give a monthly list of Scripture passages that can be copied, journaled, etc. Their theme for the month of Februrary is to think about all the ways God shows His love towards us. I chose to just copy the passage out everyday and on Friday, I use the passage from Hide His Word in My Heart to art journal. I have been faithful in doing this too and it’s been a tremendous blessing and help to me. I thought I would share with you some of the pages I have art journaled and invite you to come join me on Friday afternoons, at 3 pm, for a time of Bible Study and art journaling a Scripture Passage. If you are interested leave me a comment or send me a Facebook message to RSVP.

1 Corinthians 15:58 – Standing Firm and Aiming True. That’s my mantra for the New Year. Aim True.

Romans Road to Salvation – It’s a Highway to Heaven

This verse was about the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man. It reminded me of the movie War Room and the book Fervent. Inside the opening of the book, Fervent, is a quote from Lord of the Rings. Aragorn says to King Theoden – “Open war is upon you, whether you risk it or not.”

This one, I Zentangled the passage from 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

This isn’t all of them… But some of the ones I like best. Hope you join me on Fridays.

Thanks for reading
