43 Days til Christmas – Busyness

So today, I am going to kick off my 43 Days til Christmas series. (I only chose 43 since today is a Monday and it’s also a holiday – Veterans Day) – Let the Countdown begin!!

The busyness of the holidays has begun. I don’t know if it’s out in full force yet, but the traffic seems to be much heavier – even in the evenings. I think everybody is getting a head start on the Christmas shopping – the stores feel more crowded.

Which is good. It must mean the economy is going pretty good right now.

I feel the busyness already beginning in my own life. So much to do and so little time. Thanksgiving is next week!!! Next week! And I still haven’t decided if I want to travel to Arizona or stay at home. I’m leaning with staying home – mainly, because this year, I feel the tiredness in my bones. I just want to rest.

I am not complaining. Most of the time, I like to feel busy, except when the busyness gets to be overwhelming. If I can get the logistics to work out, finding a dog sitter and transportation, I will probably go to AZ and visit my sister. This will be her first year – without mom – and I know it will be a rough time for her.

I am also busy getting my booth at Willowstone set up for Christmas. (Booth #78 – come by and see me). I will be there tomorrow afternoon – going through my Christmas inventory. Anyone who comes by and sees me will get a 50% discount off Christmas and craft items.

I have also started another 60 Day Challenge at the gym I go to. My goal is 15 pounds in 60 days. Lot’s of walking, working out 3 days a week, and clean eating is my plan to get there.

Im also going to try and post some kind of craft video/vlog in my blog. Crafting is how I make my living right now. (Be kind to the starving artist – HA).

I also need to remember to take time out from the busyness of these holidays and rest and relax. I watched my first Hallmark Christmas movie yesterday – The March Sisters – which was a modern day spin on the movie Little Women. It was pretty good.

Today – I got a massage. Felt so good.

How do you combat the busyness of the holiday season to rest and relax?

Now sit back with a cup of tea and watch the video, while I put together a Chalk Couture project for you!!!

And don’t forget me – if you need a Christmas present for someone – I can custom make it for you.
