My Intentions, Resolutions, Goals and Plans for 2025

Today starts Bloganuary; a challenge set forth by Word Press, (Jet Pack), to blog everyday for the month of January. The topic today is Challenges…

I guess, I could think of my Intentions and Resolutions as challenges… because they can be quite challenging at times.

Every year, I write out the 12 Commandments of Debbie… (Thank you Gretchen Rubin – from The Happiness Project). Do I follow them? About as well as I follow the actual 10 Commandments. Do they help? Yea- most of the time. It would behoove me to track them this year.

Here they are: The 12 Commandments of Debbie. I revamped them this year due to getting older.

  1. Always Be Debbie – dont compare myself to others
  2. Stick To It – Stay Consistent – dont be flip-floppy
  3. Regain a Healthy Status – lose weight, reverse diabetes
  4. Grow a Community on You Tube and this Blog – gain more subscribers – ahem, friends…
  5. Build a Passive Income – through Scrap 4 Less and Stampin Up
  6. Always Be Grateful – always
  7. Finish Strong – don’t give up
  8. Show Love and Kindness – especially to my husband
  9. Stay Anchored – in Gods Word
  10. Move It! – exercise! Join a gym. Hike once a week
  11. Act The Way I Want to Feel – If I want to feel merry, I need to act merry
  12. Let Jesus Take the Wheel – I want to drive again, get over the fear

This year – some of my Intentions and Resolutions are:

Become a social media influencer and content creator

Lose 40 – 50 lbs

Finish declutterring and getting my craft room and basement set up.

Dig deeper into Gods Word

Whew! Thats a lot! I also read someone else’s blog about challenges and they are doing #52 weeks. Meaning that they do something once a week. They have decided they are going to go hiking. I looked at David and asked – can we do that? Even if we just go around Fountain Nature Center? He said yes…

More challenges that I have set for myself is to do #31DaysofSketches by Paper Issues and try to make a video everyday – to build content and hopefully gain friends on You Tube.

It feels like a lot but if God is in it – I know he will give me the strength to get it all done and to be successful. I just need to stay Anchored to God and His Word.

I think I am changing my Word for the Year to Anchored… it was my original choice. Then I wanted it change it to Abide… but I feel more like I have to stay Anchored this year. Steadfast, unmovable, determined. Instead of willpower, I need Gods real power.

What are some of your Intentions, Resolutions, Goals and Plans for 2025

As always, thanks for reading

Positively, Debbie
